Lunch Under the Almond Blossoms

Presented by Yolo County Agricultural Marketing Program and Slow Food Yolo with the Esparto Chamber of Commerce.

Saturday, March 14, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Tour three almond orchards followed by an elegant, early spring, four-course meal beginning with an aperitif of almond sparkling wine, and featuring savory-style Spanish almond soup, a main course of whole roasted pork with grilled local asparagus and radicchio and early potatoes. The lunch will be deep in the Dunnigan Hills at the contemporary RH Phillips winery and paired with their wines, held from 12:30 – 3:00 PM for 120 people. An almond dessert sampler follows the meal. Join us in Esparto for this new feature of the annual Almond Festival (which is Sunday), sponsored by the Esparto Chamber of Commerce, celebrating the bloom trail up Highway 16 in Capay Valley. Reservations only. Tickets $50 in advance through Brown Paper Tickets.
